Emission statistics(Unit:tCO2e)

Data coverage:

  1. The greenhouse gas emissions for the year 2022 were self-reported and have not been verified by a third party. The scope of the reporting covers the parent company.
  2. After the self-assessment of greenhouse gas emissions for the year 2023, verification was completed by the external organization DNV based on ISO 14064. The assessment scope includes the parent company and subsidiaries. For Scope 3 "Investments" emissions, the emissions from Scope 1 and Scope 2 of five portfolio companies—Oneness Biotech, Cho Pharma, StemCyte, Sinew Pharma, Tetanti—were included.

Water Resources

The company's water resources are only used for cleaning, domestic sewage, and drinking water. In 2023, the water usage was 1,531 cubic meters, with 21 employees, translating to an average daily water usage of approximately 200 liters per person, which is lower than Taipei City's average daily water usage of 330 liters per person. Wastewater is discharged into the municipal sewage system and is not included in the statistics.

After evaluating water usage, waste, and water rights issues, it is concluded that water resources are not of significant concern for the company's business operations and daily activities.

Reduction targets and implementation measures:
The company relocated to the Zhongxiao office in January 2024. During the renovation of the new office, water-saving devices (e.g., water-saving faucets, automatic flush systems) were installed. The water usage and carbon emissions of the Zhongxiao office in 2024 will be surveyed in January 2025, with the 2024 water usage/carbon emissions intensity serving as the baseline. The goal is to reduce these by 10% by 2030.

Additionally, the company has conducted discussions with portfolio companies. Based on evaluation results, portfolio companies have not experienced water shortages in recent years, and their operational locations are not in areas at risk of water resource shortages, indicating low water-related risks. One investment target completed water resource-related statistics in 2023. For more details, please refer to the Oneness Biotech website. In the future, we will continue to expand water resource investigation information and strengthen information transparency.

Waste Explanation

As a venture capital firm, our company does not generate waste during the production process. The only waste produced is from the daily office activities of our employees. We encourage staff to implement waste sorting practices. Currently, our office floors are equipped with recycling stations to categorize and handle waste. The cleaning company collects the waste resources and entrusts them to an environmental recycling service provider for proper disposal.
